Timber Newel Posts
Newel Posts shall be 90 x 90 mm (min) cross
section from seasoned timber. Fixed to stair stringers or timber floor
construction in accordance with standard details.

Specification
Stairs shall be of the Stair Lock Staircase system with treads, risers and stringers manufactured from Moisture Resistant, Medium density fibreboard complying DR 91016 Part 2.
The said component parts shall be connected by a dovetail jointing system locking components firmly together so as to comply with A.S. 1170-1-1989 Loading Code part 1.
Assembly and installation shall be as per manufacturers recommendations and Building Code requirements. Stair Members (Moisture Resistant Medium Density Fibreboard sizes Nominal.)
